When the celebrities want to escape the hustle and bustle of Paris, many head to Normandy. Among the most popular seaside resorts, Trouville-sur-Mer retains a timeless charm that appeals to both ordinary people and TV stars. Proof of this can be seen with Sophie Davant.

For several years, the partner of William Leymergie has been one of the personalities who enjoys retreating there whenever possible. The former face of France Télévisions maintains a certain level of discretion there, away from the studios and spotlights. But in this town where everyone eventually crosses paths, some places quickly become must-visit spots.

And indeed, the presenter recently revealed her favorite address in Trouville. A restaurant with authentic charm, known for its friendly atmosphere as well as the many celebrities who have stayed there, or at least dined there. Yes, even stars sometimes just want a good meal and a drink facing the sea.

A seaside resort that has attracted celebrities for decades

In Trouville-sur-Mer, there is no shortage of restaurants. Between the large historic brasseries and the more intimate venues, everyone can find something to their liking. Establishments like Les Vapeurs have been part of the scenery for decades and still attract tourists as well as regulars.

But what also adds to the charm of the town is the almost family-like atmosphere where celebrities mingle with holidaymakers without any formalities. In Trouville, you might run into an actor in sunglasses at the bakery, then find a star presenter seated at a table next to you at dinner. All in a very relaxed Norman atmosphere, with the ability to go from bright sunshine to a Breton-style downpour in eight minutes flat.

Sophie Davant particularly appreciates this simplicity. “It’s a charming village, like a slice of the world (…) It’s truly a beautiful region. There is a real quality of life,” she explained to Côte Fleurie. Highly attached to the region, she finds a form of refuge away from the hustle and bustle of Paris.

The favorite restaurant of Sophie Davant is a star hangout

And the address that warms the heart of the presenter is none other than Les 4 Chats. An iconic establishment in Trouville that Sophie Davant considers her “refuge,” as she had previously revealed in 50’Inside, broadcast on TF1 on January 7, 2023.

This restaurant with a retro ambiance attracts as much for its warm decor as for its friendly atmosphere. Red banquettes, walls filled with memories, photos of celebrities, and an authentic bistro spirit: the place seems frozen in a time when people still took the time to dine without checking their phones every thirty seconds.

Over the years, the establishment has become a real haunt for celebrities. “George Lucas, Francis Ford Coppola, John Cusack, Nicole Kidman, Matt Damon, and even Sylvester Stallone,” they have all dined at Serge’s as the establishment’s owner reveals. As for Sophie Davant, she is far from changing her address. Between a generous plate, a warm atmosphere and the chance to meet some celebrities without red carpets or flashes, the recipe works quite well.
