Why this attachment to the town of Lanester?
Because it’s good to live there and my wife and I have built a strong bond with the region. We have been based in Lanester for 30 years, first as a vacation home while I worked in Paris, then today most of the time.
Journalist by trade, former editor-in-chief at France Télévisions and the parliamentary channel LCP, what is your view on current affairs?
It remains essential in my retired life, between reading local and national newspapers and regular listening to the radio, notably France Inter.
Where does this citizen commitment come from?
From my career, from Sciences Po, from LCP and especially from a significant meeting in 2017 with Thérèse Thiery [maire de Lanester de 2004 Ã 2020, NDLR]which made me want to feel useful. I accompanied her in 2023 on her tour to meet elected officials for the senatorial elections. In 2024, I also participated in Damien Girard’s campaign for the legislative elections. Naturally, I joined Lanester new citizenship, then joined the team led by Gilles Carreric, with whom I share the same humanist, ecological and social values, serving citizens and with citizens.
Today, assistant to culture, what are your objectives?
I will first take the time to meet the teams, consolidate what already exists, develop new projects and guarantee access to culture for all. I would like to implement actions to encourage reading among young people.
