In the May 18 episode of The Power, Beverly pulls off a new masterstroke. While the entire villa tries to figure out who stole Julien Tanti’s power, she advances completely under the radar. Even better: Jonathan, who is considered one of the best investigators in the adventure, publicly exonerates her without realizing for a moment that she is actually the new Power Player.
Jonathan unknowingly protects Beverly
Since Julien Tanti’s elimination just before the final, the Players have been trying to understand who managed to steal his power. But while the villa scatters in all directions, Beverly quietly continues her mission.
And her biggest unwitting ally could well be Jonathan.
Convinced that Beverly would be unable to handle such emotional pressure, he completely eliminates her from his list of suspects. For him, she could never have hidden her stress with such a high stake around the finale. A theory that suits Beverly perfectly, especially as Enzo also adopts this reasoning to protect her.
Behind this strategy lies a huge dilemma for Enzo. Close to Julien, he had promised to avenge him after his elimination. But since Beverly chose him as an accomplice, he is now playing for his own survival in the game. If he reveals her secret, he too risks ending up on the wheel of misfortune just before the final.
Little by little, Enzo seems to have chosen his side.
And while Jonathan clears Beverly in front of everyone, she continues to move forward without the slightest suspicion on her.
Enzo protects Beverly while Laura reignites the investigation
While some of the Players seem lost in the investigation, Laura refuses to let the matter go. Since the revelation of the first clue about the Power Player’s identity, she remains disturbed by certain actions of Beverly.
At breakfast, she decides to start the investigation from scratch.
To proceed, Laura even retrieves the files prepared by Kelly before the adventure to analyze every detail about the candidates. A moment that allows for both personal confidences and new strategic hypotheses.
But while some play the game sincerely, Damien decides to blur the tracks by pretending that he has been lying about his family situation from the beginning. A joke that has the exact opposite effect of what was expected, as several Players immediately begin to suspect him.
A perfect opportunity for Enzo
Quickly, Enzo supports the suspicions against Damien in order to further distance the danger from Beverly. But Jonathan, on the other hand, does not believe in this theory at all. Convinced that Damien simply fell into the trap of the false lead around Laura, he almost immediately exonerates him.
The investigation becomes completely chaotic.
Laura and Jonathan drift apart before the ceremony
While Jonathan still believes that Laura could be the Power Player, she begins to increasingly doubt him. She even wonders if he has been chosen as an accomplice again this week.
Their alliance, which has been very strong in recent days, begins to crack.
Jonathan continues to defend his theory: according to him, Laura deliberately avoided choosing him as an accomplice to avoid raising suspicions. An hypothesis that Laura completely refutes.
As a result, the villa is completely divided.
Between suspicions against Damien, doubts surrounding Laura, questions about Jonathan, and Beverly’s discreet strategy, no one seems to really know where to look.
A chaos that particularly amuses Kaos
And just when the Players thought they still had time to investigate, Kaos announces a huge twist: the voting ceremony will take place on May 18.
The pressure immediately rises in the villa.
Because now, there is no room for error.
