Fashioning Mobility for Your World: Hongqi Unveils Enhanced Global Strategy and All-New Range of SUVs International at the 2026 China Auto Show

PÉKIN, April 28, 2026–During the prestigious 2026 China Auto Show, the Chinese luxury brand Hongqi made a spectacular appearance and officially launched its strengthened global strategy, while presenting a brand new range of SUVs destined for the international market.

Mr. Xiao Xiao, General Manager of China FAW Group Import & Export Co., Ltd., stated that Hongqi adheres to the philosophy of “Fashioning Mobility for Your World” and is based on three fundamental pillars:

  • Develop vehicles tailored to global markets;
  • Offer an end-to-end luxury experience;
  • Build a global co-creation ecosystem.

Through a more diverse range of luxury vehicles and superior experiences, Hongqi will continuously create remarkable mobility, valuable experiences, and a better life for users worldwide.

The new range of SUVs targeted internationally, recently unveiled, includes: Hongqi Offroad, Hongqi Global SUV, the right-hand drive version (E-HS9 RHD), and the EHS5 offered in both left-hand drive (LHD) and right-hand drive (RHD). Covering scenarios from outdoor off-road touring to urban commuting and business receptions, the range forms a product system based on simultaneous deployment of LHD/RHD, simultaneous development of electrified models, and coordinated intelligent evolution.

Mr. Giles Taylor, Vice President of Global Design and Chief Creative Officer of China FAW, emphasized that these new models inherit Hongqi’s “Eastern-oriented” luxury DNA, while integrating local cultural preferences and user needs.

  • Hongqi Offroad meets the off-road aspirations of Middle Eastern elites.
  • E-HS9 RHD emerges as the preferred choice for business executives and enthusiasts in the Asia-Pacific and the UK.
  • EHS5 is a versatile urban SUV for young users in RHD markets, notably in the UK, Indonesia, Singapore, and Macao.
  • Hongqi Global SUV embodies a unique character of integrating Eastern and Western cultures.

At the press conference, Ms. Yang Xiaocui, Deputy General Manager of China FAW Group Import & Export Co., Ltd., launched the Hongqi Bonded Friends program—a global co-creation initiative with users. She sincerely invites over 2 million vehicle owners in 34 countries and regions to join the global Hongqi community, strengthen friendships across borders, live together, and then share every wonderful luxury journey.

Hongqi will leverage user communities, exclusive services, and brand events as links to innovate with its international clients, and will continue to offer unique value and dedicated presence. Starting from the 2026 China Auto Show, Hongqi sends a clear signal of sustainable global progress. By 2028, the brand aims to expand to over 110 countries and regions, with more than 650 dealerships.
